When testing caravans fitted with a 13 pin plug and leisure battery all you do is plug the caravan into the TrailerCheck.

Power is taken from the leisure battery and shown by the reversing lights illuminating. Then simply take the handset control and walk around the van checking the other rear lights and side markers as you go. If there are no faults unplug the TrailerCheck ? job done.   For trailers or caravans with 7 pin systems, plug in the 13 to 7 pin adaptor� and connect the power lead to a suitable 12 volt battery. Then plug the trailer into the TrailerCheck and proceed with the test above.

Where 12V TrailerCheck really scores is when there is a fault.   The TrailerCheck will hold power on the faulty circuit leaving both your hands free while you trace the  problem. Then if you need to work on the circuit you use the handset to switch the power to another light or off altogether. You can then make the repair without risking a short circuit, switch the power to re-do the test without needing to move from the place where you are working.   As there is no need to keep walking back and forth to tow a vehicle, the test and repair times are really very quick even when you have more than one faulty light.

Trained and certified mechanics and technicians should perform service and maintenance on hybrid cars. A category III certified digital volt/ohm meter (DVOM) is used to test for stray electric current after the high-voltage system has been disabled. High-voltage gloves, rated at 1,000 volts or higher, should be certified and checked every 6 months. A full-face shield and a rubber apron also are recommended for anyone working on a hybrid vehicle. Manufacturers may recommend specialized safety tools for mechanics and technicians.

Non-conductive composite hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets, sockets, pliers and cutters, are recommended for those working on hybrid vehicles. Welding tools can act as electromagnets that send power through a hybrid system if it has not been correctly deactivated/disabled. Keeping a diluted boric acid solution or vinegar spray on hand can be used to neutralize battery leaks. Litmus paper will help determine if the battery acid has been neutralized.

aide automotive recently supplied Bedford Fire Service with the AdBlue Anti Contamination Cap. Following an incident of contamination, Bedford Fire decided to reduce the risk of further issues and fitted the AdBlue Cap to Volvo vehicles.

It only takes a small amount of contamination which affects the SCR systems dosing unit and catalytic converter which can put your truck in limp mode requiring a full reset.

The AdBlue Cap has been designed so that if you do try to put Diesel into the Cap and any Diesel is released, it will run off through the drain off holes and no diesel can enter the AdBlue tank. This cap will also stop any debris from entering the AdBlue Tank.

Airtabs are patented, unique wishbone shaped vortex generators designed to increase vehicle aerodynamic performance and fuel economy by reducing aerodynamic pressure drag at two key locations; the tractor-trailer gap and the rear facing surface (the base area) of any commercial or private square backed vehicle or trailer that routinely attains highway speeds.
